Celebration of Autumn Card Project

Celebration of Autumn
As the seasons change it's time to celebrate all of the wonderful card fall colors. Here is a FREE card sample that demonstrate the use of the new COLOR ME (tm) paper by HOTP. Enjoy! Supplies List:
- Color Me assortment pack
- Brown and rust ink pads (you can also use brush markers brush markers)
- Light brown, white or yellow pearls
- HOTP Chocolate Flowers
- HOTP Chocolate Brads
- Adhesive
- Scrap paper to work over
- Scissors and a craft knife
- A card and envelope card and envelope
- Open the Color Me paper pack and remove the swirly background and the Borders and tags papers. Cut Out the tag and borders shown and use "direct to paper" inking (turn your stamp pad over and rub it across the paper. It can be helpful to set the paper down -working over a piece of scrap paper.) After applying the ink, set these items aside to dry.
- Cut a piece of the swirly background paper the size of your card. Using "direct to paper" technique, apply the rust color ink to your paper.
- When your ink is dry use your adhesive to attach your border and tag to the swirly paper.
- Thread a white brad through one small light brown flower, then one dark brown medium flower and finally one large flower. Poke a small hole and attach your flower as shown. Close the brad.
- Now attach the card face to your card. The brad legs will be sandwiched between the two layers.
- Add some pearls to the border and to the tag and admire your finished work!
Variations: If you don't have pearls, you can use brads from your chocolate brad pack in place of the pearls. If you don't have brown and rust stamp pads, use brush markers instead. Try using jewels or different color pearls. Now that you have your supplies out, how about making a nice selection of fall-theme cards for friends and family?
